Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not on the premises, have supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate signage and manage seasonal store areas for sales effectiveness.
• Manage store supplies and expense control.
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and display racks daily, including promotional items.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
