This role is responsible for assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, with a main focus on front-end and sales floor operations. Additionally, assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily, and that the sales floor is sales-effective
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure compliance with cash handling practices and guidelines
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays
• Assist with managing seasonal store areas and merchandising
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales and ensure store displays are replenished daily

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
