Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors
• Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is absent, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates
• Process all directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information, and other store-related communications delegated by the Store Manager
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Maintain sales effectiveness on the sales floor and seasonal areas
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling practices
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays
• Manage store supplies and control expenses
• Maintain the checkout area to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily
• Assist with creating weekly schedules

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
