Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Maintain sales effectiveness of the sales floor and seasonal areas.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling.
• Coordinate signage and store displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily (e.g., balloons, sunglasses, batteries).
• Assist with creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
