Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, assume supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives and related store activities as delegated.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and daily sales floor effectiveness.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal display areas to maximize sales.
13. Handle damaged merchandise daily.
14. Assist with weekly schedule creation and store supplies management.
15. Maintain checkout area merchandising to maximize impulse sales.
16. Refill coolers and display racks daily, including promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
