Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate signage and merchandising to maximize sales and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist with managing store supplies, expenses, and seasonal displays.
• Maintain checkout area and store front displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
