Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Optimize promotional displays and seasonal areas.
14. Coordinate signage in the store.
15. Manage merchandise receipt, returns, and damaged goods processing.
16. Assist with weekly scheduling and store supplies management.
17. Maintain the checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
18. Refill coolers and display racks daily, including promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Preferred prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
