Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
6. Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly Associates.
8. Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Help ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Coordinate signage and manage seasonal displays for promotional effectiveness.
14. Handle damaged merchandise daily.
15. Assist with weekly scheduling and manage store supplies and expenses.
16. Maintain the checkout area and ensure store fixtures/displays are replenished daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
