Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
4. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling practices.
12. Maintain promotional displays and manage seasonal areas for sales effectiveness.
13. Coordinate signage and manage store supplies and expenses.
14. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
15. Ensure daily refilling of coolers and storefront displays.
16. Assist with creating weekly schedules.
17. Process damaged merchandise daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
