Responsibilities

Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. Also assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies.
• Assist in ensuring proper staffing coverage daily.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling practices are followed.
• Maintain promotional displays and manage seasonal areas for sales effectiveness.
• Coordinate signage and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area and store displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
