Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and related store activities as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities, ensuring all cash handling practices and guidelines are followed.
13. Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
14. Manage seasonal areas and ensure merchandise replenishment.
15. Process damaged merchandise daily.
16. Assist in creating weekly schedules.
17. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
18. Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
19. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
