Responsible for assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. Also assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
  • Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
  • Follow all policies and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
  • Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
  • When the Store Manager is absent, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates
  • Process all SSC corporate directives and communications related to store activities
  • Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
  • Manage cashiering activities to ensure compliance with cash handling guidelines
  • Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas for sales effectiveness
  • Coordinate signage in the store
  • Process damaged merchandise daily
  • Assist with weekly schedule creation
  • Manage store supplies and expenses
  • Maintain checkout area and merchandising to maximize impulse sales
  • Refill coolers and displays daily (balloons, sunglasses, batteries, etc.)
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
  • Prior retail and management experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
