Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, oversee all hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Help manage cashiering activities and ensure cash handling practices are followed.
• Contribute to the promotional effectiveness of store displays and seasonal areas.
• Manage signage and merchandise presentation.
• Assist with store supplies, expense control, and merchandising.
• Maintain checkout area to maximize sales and ensure product replenishment.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
