Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, take direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communicate related store activities as delegated.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities, ensuring cash handling practices are followed.
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with weekly schedule creation.
• Manage store supplies and expense control.
• Maintain merchandising and checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily, including promotional racks and program items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
