Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and key survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Support sales effectiveness on the sales floor and manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling guidelines.
12. Coordinate signage and manage seasonal displays to maximize sales.
13. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
14. Maintain merchandising and checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
15. Refill store-front program racks/displays daily.
16. Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
