Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is not present, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates
• Process all SSC Corporate directives and related store communications
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices & guidelines
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Manage seasonal store areas for sales effectiveness
• Coordinate signage used in the store
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly scheduling
• Help manage store supplies and expenses
• Assist with merchandising and checkout area to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs of merchandise
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
