Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery of the stockroom and sales floor.
• When the Store Manager is not present, provide supervisory oversight for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communicate related store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Help ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
• Manage seasonal store areas and merchandise displays.
• Assist with store supplies, expense control, and merchandising.
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Ensure coolers and displays are replenished daily.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
