Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas to company standards, including recovery of the stockroom and sales floor.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow all cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Optimize promotional displays and seasonal areas.
14. Coordinate signage in the store.
15. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
16. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize sales.
17. Refill coolers and display racks daily, including promotional items.
18. Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
