Job summary

This position is located at the Fort Bliss Army Fisher House.

Duties
  • Represent the Fisher House organization at community and other events. Complete basic administrative duties as needed by the Operations Assistant or Assistant Business Manager.
  • Process purchasing documents to order and receive supplies. Monitor the facility and report any unusual findings to the supervisor.
  • Provide tours of the Fisher House to small groups and conduct presentations about the Fisher House mission. Assist in event planning, marketing, and promotional activities.
  • Respond to resident queries and requests. Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies, keep cleaning equipment in good condition, and maintain a clean storage area.
  • Clean recreation equipment, supplies, and facility areas. Operate equipment and perform self-help maintenance. Submit work orders for maintenance tasks beyond self-help capabilities.
Requirements
  • Must have Direct Deposit setup and a Social Security Card.
  • Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements.
  • Successfully complete employment verification (E-Verify).
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays for special events if required.
  • Complete a background investigation with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) within 30 days of starting.
  • Appointment depends on a favorable suitability determination.
Qualifications

Experience working with the general public is required.

Highly Desirable:

  • At least six months of customer service experience with facility/operational patrons, including answering questions and performing basic clerical tasks.
  • At least six months of housekeeping or custodial duties experience.
