Job summary

WeDriveU, Inc. is seeking an Operations and Training Manager in Burlington to oversee driver supervision and training, ensure on-site operations, and maintain strong client communication.

The role requires leadership to uphold safe and efficient transit operations across routes. Reporting to the General Manager, you will implement standard operating procedures, drive staffing decisions, and collaborate with clients and vendors to optimize service delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' supervisory experience in Operations Management.
• Willingness to participate in Public Transportation Safety Certification Training within 90 days of start and complete within the first year.
• Preferred: experience in public or private transportation demand management (TDM).
• Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of all drivers and oversee SOP development and implementation as directed by Client and WeDriveU policies.
• Provide staff leadership to promote safe, efficient, and effective operations.
• Ensure transit routes are operating and adequately servicing client needs.
• Make staffing decisions and communicate with drivers and client management.
• Hire, interview, road test, train, and develop new drivers.
• Analyze ridership numbers and suggest route changes accordingly.
• Support development of company policy and procedures.
• Assist the General Manager as needed.
• Additional duties may apply.

Job Description

The Operations and Training Manager will report to the General Manager and assist with all supervisory duties outlined below. The Operations and Training Manager will work onsite, as needed, at the client’s location and will actively communicate with the client as well as other vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of all drivers and oversee the development andimplementation of standard operating procedures as directed by the Client andWeDriveU company policies.
• Provides staff leadership by promoting and ensuring safe, efficient and effective operations.
• Ensure that all transit routes are constantly operating and adequately servicing the client’s needs.
• Make logistical coverage/staffing decisions and communicate them effectively to the rest of the team (drivers and client management).
• Hire (interviews, road tests, training, etc.), train and develop new drivers.
• Analyze and interpret ridership numbers and suggest route changes accordingly.
• Support the development of company policy and procedures.
• Support the General Manager as needed.

Skills Required and Physical Demands

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to prove intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications

Hard Requirements

• 3+ years' Supervisory experience in Operations Management.
• Willingness to participate in the Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Program within 90 days of contract start and complete certification within the first year.

Preferred Requirements

• Work experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM) highly desirable.
