Job description

Job Description

The Operations and Assessment Analyst will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands under a five-year contract. The role involves providing professional services at MARCENT located at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, supporting the Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5) within the continental and outside the continental United States.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing operations and assessment analysis services for G-5.
  2. Advising the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-5, and supporting the Commander and staff.
  3. Executing operational analyses and assessments related to component planning and operations.
  4. Participating in assessments directed by CENTCOM and the Services, including the Theater Campaign Plan and Service Campaign Plan.
  5. Developing high-level analysis of force deployment, operations, training, and reorganization.
  6. Collecting, analyzing, and reviewing lessons learned, and providing recommendations.
  7. Reviewing 60-day assessments of forward-deployed forces and preparing feedback and endorsements.
  8. Attending working groups, boards, and providing recommendations to improve processes and products.
Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • Full understanding of US Marine Corps structure, capabilities, TOECR process, GFM processes, and related policies.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ten years of military experience.

Education & Certification:

  • Current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
  • Ability to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements per OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD 8523.01, and AF Manual 17-1301.

Security Clearance:

  • SECRET Security Clearance required.
Work Location and Travel

Location: MARCENT, MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida.

Travel: Support required travel to multiple countries within the CENTCOM AOR and supporting locations, including potential travel on less than 24 hours' notice.
