MTSI is seeking an Operations Analyst, Senior Principal who will provide operational analysis and modeling and simulation support for acquisition and technology development programs focused on systems survivability and lethality. The principal objective for the Operations Analyst, Senior Principal is to identify capabilities required to defeat emerging threats which are then utilized to create technology development goals and projects.

As an Operations Analyst, Senior Principal with MTSI, you will be responsible for providing operations analysis and modeling and simulation support to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) for acquisition and technology development programs focused on systems survivability and lethality. The principal objective for the Operations Analyst is to identify capabilities required to defeat emerging threats which are then utilized to create technology development goals and projects. You will sit in the AFRL customer facility and be an integral part of a combined government/contractor team developing capabilities for the Department of the Air Force.

How You Will Contribute

As a Systems Engineer, Senior Principal with MTSI, you will be responsible for providing systems engineering and program management support to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). You will sit in the Air Force customer space and be an integral part of a combined government/contractor team developing and demonstrating cutting-edge avionics capabilities for the Department of the Air Force.

Responsibilities

Your key functions include but are not limited to:

  • Providing operational analysis and modeling & simulation expertise across various technology areas.
  • Research engineering through operational analysis and system simulations.
  • Participating in strategic planning for M&S investments, system architectures, and requirements.
  • Evaluating project feasibility and relevance to military missions.
  • Identifying resources and providing technical analysis for decision-making.
  • Interfacing with the intelligence community to identify threats.
  • Leading analytic trade space creation to understand capability gaps.
  • Ensuring analysis accuracy regarding tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with engineers/scientists to refine analysis plans.
  • Assisting in annual planning and analysis topic prioritization.
  • Communicating complex technical material to senior stakeholders.
  • Working closely with program managers and teams.
  • Travel up to 20% for technical meetings.
Qualifications
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • At least 15 years of experience in operations analysis and M&S.
  • Knowledge of multi-domain system survivability and lethality assessments.
  • Experience with use case development, architectural studies, and analysis.
  • Statistical data analysis skills.
  • Experience with technology planning and assessments.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition and requirements planning.
  • Experience with intelligence community organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to document analytical questions, capability gaps, and requirements clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM; Master’s preferred.
Desired Skills
  • Experience supporting DoD technology development.
  • Experience with requirements analysis, system design, and testing.
Clearance Requirements
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
