SelectQuote, Inc. in Overland Park, KS seeks an Operations Analyst II to translate data into actionable insights for sales and service teams. You will build reports, perform quantitative analyses, and support strategic decisions using Excel, SQL and visualization tools.
You will partner with department leaders to shape initiatives, set benchmarks, and present findings to drive process improvements and business outcomes across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field (or related YOE).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in analyst role (finance, operations, business, or equivalent).
- Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Python/R is highly preferred.

The Operations Analyst II is responsible for developing and delivering analytical findings creating and maintaining multiple reports and working with a variety of stakeholders to identify areas of advancement on topics ranging from data infrastructure to business strategy decisions.
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics reporting for the sales and customer service support teams
- Prepare quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel, SQL and other analytic & visualization tools to develop meaningful insights of various program performance
- Provide forward-looking and historical analysis for strategic initiatives through modeling and sensitivity tool usage
- Produce clear and concise presentations regarding projects and other assigned tasks
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to various teams throughout the business
- Create reporting for key performance indicators, monitor results and provide analysis of results to company stakeholders
- Define benchmarks for success within the division using historical analysis
- Collaborate with department leaders to build, analyze, and defend strategy and business cases for new initiatives, workflow enhancements, technological enhancements, etc.
- Translate high level business problems into meaningful analysis and provide recommendations to stakeholders
- Complete assigned tasks quickly and with a sense of urgency
- Develop expert knowledge of business processes, data generated within each process, and flow of data within the database
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Excellent oral and written communication skills especially relating to presentation development
- High level of self-motivation; ability to accomplish goals independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset; a high degree of accuracy is required in all functions
- Ability to explain complex concepts and data to key stakeholders to assist in decision making
- High level of curiosity and problem-solving aptitude
- Resourcefulness and ability to push through ambiguity and find answers independently
- Vocal and Consistent contributor of ideas to help solve problems and generate solutions
- Team player; must be able to contribute to the team and rely on others to achieve objectives
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field (or related YOE)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in analyst role (finance, operations, business, or equivalent) required
- Experience working with technical applications and programming languages like PowerBI, Tableau, Python R, etc. highly preferred
Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
