Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a Business Analyst in the United States (Houston area) to join a client service team and take ownership of a workstream solving some of the toughest challenges our clients face.

You will collaborate with clients and McKinsey colleagues to uncover true challenges behind a client’s strategy, creating actionable plans and driving long-term change. You will be at the heart of the action, delivering solutions that matter and upholding our values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of experience required.
• Exposure to capital excellence, infrastructure, process improvement, product development, procurement, manufacturing & supply chain concepts; interest in network design, S&OP, inventory or physical flow management.
• Proven track record of leading operational improvements and managing transformation factors (e.g., performance management systems, mindsets/behaviors).
• Aptitude for analytics and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership in work settings or through extracurricular activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with people at all levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Own a workstream within a client service team to solve complex challenges.
• Collaborate directly with clients and McKinsey colleagues to uncover true issues behind a client’s strategy.
• Develop actionable plans and help implement transformations that endure beyond engagement.
• Use research, data analysis, interviews, and brainstorming to generate insights and breakthrough solutions.
• Uphold McKinsey's values, ethics and integrity to earn client trust and deliver results.
