Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC in Fort Belvoir, VA seeks an Operations Analyst to support an Army client and senior leadership. You will manage schedules, travel, and correspondence, while coordinating with government and contractor teams to keep programs on track at a fast pace.

The role requires a strong ability to multi-task, maintain confidentiality, and work with little supervision. Telework may be approved per client direction, and security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate years of experience.
• 5–10 years of experience working for/within Army and/or DoD organizations.
• 3–5 years of experience providing direct support for multiple senior level program directors and/or managers (O-6, GS-15, VP, or higher).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily O6 office operations, including customer service, senior leader schedule management (PM, DPM, and O6 staff), travel authorizations and vouchers utilizing DTS, meeting logistics, and timely dissemination of schedule changes.
• Interface with all levels of private industry and vendors. Route/direct inquiries and requests to appropriate point of contact and/or resource. Schedule meetings with the appropriate personnel, escort meeting participant(s) to meeting location(s).
• Review all incoming and outgoing correspondence including memorandums (in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50), presentations, briefings, reports, read-ahead materials, and manuals; check for formatting, proofread, and make edits as necessary, prepare documents for signature, and ensure proper routing through the program staff and higher headquarters staff where applicable.
• Monitor and manage taskers in the Army tasker automated system to ensure the program submits taskers on time or requests needed extensions.
• Manage PM LOG-FIN SharePoint site content and support process automation using Army Artificial Intelligence tools and other available tools such as Microsoft PowerApps.
• Maintain the program conference rooms and manage the conference room calendars. Provide necessary assistance to conference room users, facilitate senior-level meetings; to include the use of video teleconferencing.
• Provide event coordination and Protocol Support for all official functions (Charter Ceremonies, Promotions, and Retirements) or organizational activities.
• Support the O-6 Operations team with projects and analysis as needed.

Overview

Seeking an Operations Analyst for a US Army client to support military (highest ranking: O-6 / Colonel), civilian (highest ranking: GS-15) and contractor support teams supporting development of modernized defense business systems. The Operations Analyst is responsible for enabling efficient daily operations for the Project Manager (PM) and senior leadership through scheduling, tasker management, correspondence oversight, knowledge management, and general operational support. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, able to multi-task and complete duties within required timeframe and demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and confidentiality at all times. Work location is at the client site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Telework is acceptable per client direction and must be approved.

• Review all incoming and outgoing correspondence including memorandums (in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50), presentations, briefings, reports, read-ahead materials, and manuals; check for formatting, proofread, and make edits as necessary, prepare documents for signature, and ensure proper routing through the program staff and higher headquarters staff where applicable.
• Monitor and manage taskers in the Army tasker automated system to ensure the program submits taskers on time or requests needed extensions. Select appropriate respondents for taskers, provide background instructions and files, and submit tasker responses when complete.
• Manage PM LOG-FIN SharePoint site content and support process automation using Army Artificial Intelligence tools and other available tools such as Microsoft PowerApps. Monitor knowledge management and records management processes and activities to ensure O6 and O5 Product Management Office information is maintained and is accessible to stakeholders.
• Maintain the program conference rooms and manage the conference room calendars. Provide necessary assistance to conference room users, facilitate senior-level meetings; to include the use of video teleconferencing.
• Provide event coordination and Protocol Support for all official functions (Charter Ceremonies, Promotions, and Retirements) or organizational activities.
• Support the O-6 Operations team with projects and analysis as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate years of experience.
• At least 5-10 years of experience working for/within Army and/or DoD organizations, either as military personnel, government civilian, or as a contractor supporting the Army.
• 3-5 years of experience providing direct support for multiple senior level program directors and/or managers (O-6, GS-15, VP, or higher).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers, and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role.
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Access), SharePoint, Teams, as well as office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
• Possess and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with little direct supervision, independently, and with senior and mid-level staff to prioritize according to the senior staff requirements.

Desired Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience composing/reviewing formal documents/correspondence in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines such as Army Regulation 25-50.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the Defense Travel System.
• Agile certifications.
• Program Management certifications.

Target salary range: $115,000-$135,000
