Descrizione del lavoro

Daiahn is a high-growth enterprise technology startup based in upstate New York. As we scale, we're building the operational backbone that lets the business move fast without breaking things — and we're looking for someone who wants to help build that foundation from the ground up.

We're hiring an Operations Analyst to help coordinate and strengthen our core operating systems. You'll work closely with our COO to build out operations processes as the company grows, and you'll be hands‑on with the day‑to‑day systems that keep the business running — including payroll, light bookkeeping, and bill pay, with room to take on other operational work as it comes up. This is a great fit for someone who is excited by the pace and ambiguity of a startup environment and wants real ownership over how things get built.

What you'll do
  • Coordinate and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across pay cycles.
  • Handle light bookkeeping, including tracking transactions, reconciling accounts, and keeping financial records organized.
  • Manage bill pay, ensuring vendors and invoices are handled accurately and on time.
  • Partner directly with the COO to design, build out, and continuously improve operations processes as the company scales.
  • Document processes and create clear, repeatable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing workflows and propose practical improvements.
  • Take on additional operational responsibilities as they arise — this role is expected to grow and evolve alongside the company.
  • Serve as a go‑to resource for operational questions, helping the team stay organized as the company grows.
What we're looking for
  • Comfortable working independently and making sound judgment calls in ambiguous, fast‑changing situations.
  • Strong organizational skills with real attention to detail, especially around systems like payroll, bookkeeping, and bill pay.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial records; comfort with basic accounting concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills; able to turn a messy process into clear documentation.
  • A proactive, ownership‑driven mindset — you see something that needs doing and you do it.
  • Genuine excitement about joining a high‑growth startup in upstate New York and helping shape how it operates.
  • Prior experience with operations, payroll, bookkeeping, or accounts payable tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Gusto, Bill.com) is a plus, but not required.
Location and work arrangement

This role is based out of our Syracuse, NY or Rochester, NY office (candidate's choice), with a hybrid schedule combining in‑office and remote work.
