Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Operations Advisors to support field operations and operational procedure improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

This position plays a key role in ensuring operational procedures are accurate, practical, and aligned with established industry standards. The Operations Advisor will work closely with field personnel, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and technical documentation teams to validate, review, and refine operational procedures.

Candidates should have a strong background in field operations and working knowledge of OIMS 6-1 (Operations Integrity Management System - Procedures and Work Practices) or equivalent operational procedure standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to field locations to review and validate operational procedures.
• Review draft procedures to ensure accuracy, clarity, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Work directly with field Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate operational practices and gather technical input.
• Assess whether written procedures accurately reflect real-world field conditions and operational requirements.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing procedures.
• Collaborate with technical writers and documentation teams to incorporate field feedback.
• Support the development, refinement, and finalization of operational documentation.
• Ensure procedures are practical, actionable, and aligned with OIMS 6-1 requirements.

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of experience in field operations, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong working knowledge of OIMS 6-1 or equivalent operational procedure and work practice standards.
• Minimum of 5 years of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and/or Person in Charge (PIC) experience preferred.
• Previous experience reviewing, validating, or developing operational procedures.
• Background in field operations, production, pipeline, or process facilities.
• Ability to collaborate with field personnel, technical SMEs, and documentation teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to different field locations.
