Job description

Role: Operations Specialist | Location: Orlando, FL | Duration: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive base + bonus

Why This Role

This is a chance to sit at the center of how a top-tier global bank actually processes fixed income Corporate Actions, with full front-to-back ownership rather than a narrow, siloed function. You'll manage events from new issuance through bankruptcies, calls, and maturities, act as proxy lead for a global team, and work directly with DTC, Euroclear, and foreign depositories. The team is investing heavily in automation and STP, so this role comes with real influence over how processes evolve, not just how they run today. If you want depth in complex fixed income mechanics alongside genuine cross-team visibility, this is that role.

Position Overview

The Corporate Actions Specialist owns the full trade-to-settlement lifecycle for Corporate Action Events across multiple fixed income products, including fails management. Responsibilities span event creation in proprietary systems, daily reconciliation, ad-hoc bond conversions on 144A/REGS securities, and settling claims with external brokers on Repo and Stock Loan positions. The role also carries global proxy services responsibility, including voting submissions, Completion Notices, and Letters of Representation, and works closely with technology teams to refine systems and processes over time.

Core Responsibilities
  • Create and process Corporate Action events in proprietary systems across fixed income products
  • Manage daily processing and reconciliation of all Corporate Action Events, trade date through settlement
  • Serve as proxy lead for the global corporate actions team (voting, Completion Notices, Letters of Representation)
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve corporate action issues against critical deadlines
  • Process ad-hoc bond conversion requests on 144A/REGS securities
  • Work with external brokers to process and settle claims on Repo/Stock Loan positions
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Partner with technology on system and process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Maintain documentation for regulatory, compliance, and audit purposes
  • Monitor custodian and vendor performance and provide management feedback
  • Experience within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is a strong advantage
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in Asset Servicing Operations
  • Strong knowledge of DTC, Euroclear, and foreign depository clearance and settlement
  • Familiarity with new bond issues, indenture terms, P&I and fixed/floating rate calculations, bankruptcies, liquidations, defaults, consents, conversions, and calls
  • Broadridge NAPE experience preferred
  • Proven risk management skills and a front-to-back ownership mentality
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across global teams
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is a strong advantage
  • Florida based, onsite or hybrid per firm policy
  • Global team with operations counterparts across multiple international financial centers
