The Impact you will have in this role:

The Global Business Operations (GBO) organization is responsible for all operations and asset services supporting the following DTCC businesses: The Depository Trust Company (DTC), National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) – Government Securities Division (GSD) & Mortgage-Backed Securities Division (MBSD), Wealth Management Services (WMS), Insurance & Retirement Services (I&RS), Solutions Operations - Global Market Entity Identifier (GMEI), and Global Service Bureau (GSB). GBO's mission is to provide the Securities Industry with superior operations processing and client services support in an environment that minimizes risk and cost while maximizing efficiency. Corporate Actions Processing areas announce and process all asset servicing events associated with DTC-eligible securities and respond to client inquiries on the same. Due to the scope of event types and their volume, Corporate Actions is organized into the following business units: • Principal and Income (P&I): Includes cash distribution events such as dividends, interest, and pro-rata principal, as well as redemption events such as partial and full calls, and maturities. • Stock Dividends: Includes stock distribution events such as forward stock splits, spin-offs, rights distributions, as well as processing dividend reinvestment instructions on behalf of DTC’s clients. • Dividend International Services (DIS): Includes optional services to investors such as events with foreign currency options and \"at-source\" tax relief. • Global Tax Services: Performs processing associated with the classification, withholding, remittance, and reporting of US-sourced income to the IRS, and year-end reporting to the IRS on behalf of DTC, NSCC and FICC. • Mandatory Reorganization: Includes cash and stock events such as mergers, reverse splits, name changes and bankruptcies where there is no decision to be made by an investor. • Voluntary Reorganization: Includes cash and stock events where an investor has a decision to make. These events include tenders, mergers with election, election of rights and warrants, exercise of convertible securities and processing securities with put features. • P&I Event Reconciliation Support (PIERS): Identifies, researches, and resolves residual payment discrepancies associated with P&I Events; performs monitoring and reporting on P&I cash and securities accounts, as well as handles claims to and from issuers and agents.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Processes events including reverse stock splits, stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, name changes, reorganizations, liquidations, and mandatory exchanges. Able to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies while resolving exceptions and assisting with complex inquiries.



  • Executes operational processes related to Mandatory Corporate Actions by following documented procedures and job aids. Processes events including reverse stock splits, stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, name changes, reorganizations, liquidations, and mandatory exchanges. Able to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies while resolving exceptions and assisting with complex inquiries.

  • Takes ownership of workload and ensures deliverables are completed accurately and timely in accordance with procedures, metrics, benchmarks, and critical market deadlines. Effectively manages competing priorities across multiple corporate action events.

  • Builds knowledge of department controls and applies risk management principles to daily responsibilities. Reviews and validates event details from corporate action announcements, source documents, transfer agent notifications, issuer communications, and exchange notices to mitigate risk and elevate issues appropriately.

  • Maintains a steadfast focus on client service by responding to inquiries accurately and promptly. Demonstrates the ability to read, understand, interpret, and articulate corporate action event details, including terms, conditions, key dates, agent information, and participant impacts.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, transfer agents, exchanges, issuers, and business partners, to facilitate issue resolution, process improvements, and risk reduction.

  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, active engagement in meetings, and a curiosity to learn and grow.

  • Clearly communicates corporate action event details, processing requirements, key dates, agent information, and event impacts to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow by accepting feedback, applying coaching, and continuously enhancing knowledge, skills, and overall performance.

  • Facilitates training sessions and provides guidance to junior team members on corporate action processing, event interpretation, and departmental procedures as directed by management.

  • Participates in projects, initiatives, and process improvement efforts focused on enhancing operational efficiency, controls, client experience, and the processing of mandatory corporate actions.

  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk, ensure operational accuracy, maintain audit readiness, and appropriately elevate issues affecting event processing or client impact.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or in a position involving direct Corporate Actions interaction, processing, securities operations, asset servicing, custody operations, or transfer agency functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, interpret, and articulate corporate action event announcements, source documentation, transfer agent communications, and exchange notices.

  • Working knowledge of Mandatory Corporate Actions, including mergers, reverse stock splits, stock splits, name changes, reorganizations, liquidations, and other mandatory events.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
