Sopra Steria Limited is seeking an Operational Risk Manager on a 6‑month contract. You will embed a strong risk culture and provide oversight across operational delivery, resilience and third‑party arrangements.

This hybrid role involves travel to client sites in the Northwest and East and contributes to risk awareness and control ownership. The role demands a solid understanding of risk management principles in financial services, plus RCSA, control testing and effective stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of risk management principles and frameworks in financial services.
• Experience with Risk & Control Self-Assessment and control testing.
• Ability to provide effective second‑line oversight and pragmatic solutions.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret risk data and identify trends.

Responsabilités

• Manage and enhance the Risk Management Framework to align with regulatory and client requirements.
• Oversee risk management across operational delivery, changes, incidents and third‑party arrangements.
• Lead review and oversight of RCSA and control testing activities.
• Develop risk reporting and MI to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Support operational resilience and incident management, including root cause analysis.
• Build relationships across the business and coach teams on risk awareness and control ownership.
