Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank seeks a PEC Consultant - Operational Risk Management to lead the development and maintenance of the operational risk framework across finance and treasury activities. The role emphasizes risk assessment, control design, and reporting to senior management.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in operational risk, data analytics, and experience implementing risk management programs in or for financial institutions, with English and Spanish fluency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in financial/treasury operations, risk management, or auditing.
• English and Spanish proficiency; Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and periodic enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Plan and document Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
• Review processes to identify operational risks and control gaps.
• Prepare operational risk dashboards and management reports.
• Provide risk training and awareness to strengthen risk culture.
