Job summary

Concept Plus, LLC invites an Operational Medicine Chief Architect to lead technical strategy for its mission-critical healthcare solutions across DoD, DHA, and MHS environments.

You will drive architecture across IT applications, enterprise services, digital modernization, data/AI and O&M domains, interfacing with executive customers and BD teams to shape differentiating solutions.

Qualifications

• US Citizen.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience planning, architecting, designing and developing system/software solutions, with at least 5+ years of experience in a Solution Architect, Chief Architect, or Lead Architect role.
• Experience in System Development, Software or Application Development, Operations & Maintenance, System Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Agile/Scaled Agile.
• Experience developing or managing DevOps/DevSecOps solutions that rely on cloud-based infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership across a portfolio of programs or an entire business sector, including setting technical strategy, standards, and governance.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing solution architects and technical teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to apply critical thinking across an opportunity lifecycle, understanding customer requirements.
• Experience translating technology solutions into high quality, well written responses during BD, capture and proposal lifecycles.
• Ability to conceptualize graphics to convey key solution concepts and tie solutions to requirements.
• Proven ability to craft proposal sections across diverse disciplines and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for the operational medicine portfolio, defining the technical vision, architecture standards, and solution strategy across the portfolio.
• Lead the development of innovative, winning solutions in support of major operational medicine and deployed medical environments capture efforts, balancing cost, schedule, function, quality, and other business considerations.
• Create and review white papers, proposals, and briefings demonstrating the organization’s thought leadership and support marketing and business development efforts.
• Drive capture strategy development through technical leadership, including discriminating value propositions and solution themes.
• Conduct pre-sales engineering activities, engaging directly with customers with Business Development teams and strategic partners.
• Own the overall solution architecture for key proposals, integrating contributions across a range of topics.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to solution architects and delivery teams across the sector, mentoring architectural talent.
• Guide the development of reusable capabilities, accelerators, and differentiators across multiple accounts.
• Support program management and BD reviews and help improve performance and technical health of projects.
• Support delivery by providing technical expertise and developing creative solutions to program problems and concerns; meet with customers to brainstorm solutions.

About the role

Concept Plus is seeking an Operational Medicine Chief Architect (CA) to provide senior technical leadership for the Operational Medicine portfolio at Concept Plus. The CA sets the technical vision and architecture strategy across a portfolio of mission-critical healthcare solutions supporting operational and deployed medical environments. This role provides technical leadership, business development and contract delivery across complex programs supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Military Health System (MHS), and operational medicine communities. The Chief Architect ensures portfolio solutions are secure, interoperable, resilient, scalable, and aligned with DoD enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data, cloud, and digital modernization objectives.

The CA is the principal technical resource for these areas and represents Concept Plus in executive-level customer meetings related to ongoing contracts, new business prospects, and strategic partners. The CA will work with Business Development personnel and sector leadership to understand customer missions and lead the development of differentiated solutions through white papers, presentations, and proposal responses. This position requires leading the development of comprehensive solutions ranging from IT application development, enterprise services, O&M modernization, digital transformation, data and AI, and other technical areas across operational medicine and deployed medical environments. The role requires a broad and deep understanding of technology and industry trends and the ability to conceptualize enterprise solutions that differentiate Concept Plus from our competitors and shape the technical direction of the sector. The ideal candidate is also well versed in Oracle technologies.

• Conduct pre-sales engineering activities, to include engaging directly with customers in combination with our Business Development teams and strategic partners.
• Own the overall solution architecture for key proposals, integrating contributions across a diverse range of technical topics.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to solution architects and delivery teams across the sector, mentoring and developing the sector’s architecture talent.
• Guide the development and maturation of reusable capabilities, accelerators, and technical differentiators across multiple accounts within the business.
• Support program management and business development reviews and assist in improving the performance and technical health of existing projects as required.
• Support delivery by providing technical expertise and developing creative solutions to program problems, issues, and concerns. Meet with customers when needed to brainstorm solutions and/or alternative solutions.
