Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services seeks an Operational Language Analyst - Spanish, Level 2, to join our Defense and Homeland Security Division in Annapolis Junction, MD. The analyst will process voice and/or graphic language materials for SIGINT operations, translating and transcribing complex material with high accuracy.

Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and possess an AA/AS degree or equivalent, plus four years of language processing experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• AA/AS degree or equivalent.
• ILR level 3 in translation from Spanish to English or DLPT level 3 listening/reading.
• Four years of full-time language processing experience.
• In lieu of the degree, two additional years of related work experience may substitute.
• For no more than one year, reporting may be primary duty.
• Two of the four years must be within four years of resume submission.

We are actively hiring an Operational Language Analyst - Spanish, Level 2 to join our Defense and Homeland Security Division working in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, the Operational Language Analyst performs tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translating and/or transcribing complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material
• Gisting complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material
• Scanning and sorting/categorizing foreign language materials
• Performing quality control review of translations and/or transcripts of complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Associate of Arts (AA)/Associate of Science (AS) degree or equivalent
• Performance at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in audio translation and/or text translation from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English or 3 in listening and/or reading on the DLPT.
• Equivalent of four (4) years full-time experience performing language processing in the required language(s).
• In lieu of the Associate’s Degree an additional two (2) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted.
• For no more than one (1) year of the required four (4) years, Reporting shall be the primary duty.
• Two (2) of the four (4) years of experience shall be within four (4) years of resume submission for work on the Contract.
