Operational Laboratory Support Technician – (Crown Point, IN)

DonLevy Laboratories, part of IEH Laboratories and Consulting Group, is accepting applications for a Laboratory Support Technician position at its Crown Point, IN facility.

DonLevy Laboratories is an independent food testing laboratory dedicated to food safety, performing microbiological and chemistry analyses on environmental, raw material, and finished product samples submitted by food companies industry-wide.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

• An associate degree (preferred); a high school diploma or GED (required)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Thorough understanding of operation and safety requirements related to autoclaves and boilers
• Sound judgment in day-to-day interactions
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs above waist level
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

Responsibilities include:

• Laboratory maintenance (sanitization, cleaning, waste collection and disposal)
• Assisting all departments with general preparation
• Administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

This is a full-time position, with shift hours Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
