Position Summary

The Operations Excellence Manager, CIP & Process Optimization is responsible for identifying and improving logistics and operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, including training and workshops to drive cultural change.
• Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design, and create process documentation.
• Carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, develop budgets, and conduct cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
• Design, install, and maintain capital equipment related to process improvement.
• Drive value stream mapping to define "As-Is" analysis and transition to a future state.
• Develop and conduct compliance assessments, program evaluations, and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent.

Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Five years of related management experience.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Training in Lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen facilitation.
• Strong leadership skills, experience working in a unionized environment, and the ability to learn and apply new concepts.
• Previous exposure to a low‑volume, high SKU environment.
• Ability to work with and influence others in a fast‑paced environment; willing to work shifts as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Vizio; aptitude for AutoCAD and Microsoft Access; knowledge of WMS functionality.
• Good mathematical skills.
• English (reading, writing, verbal); Spanish a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
• Ecommerce experience, including starting up small to large volume solutions.
• Experience in warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, conveyor design, etc.).

Physical Demands

Employees use their hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch; they may need to stand, walk, and lift. Frequent use of computer and telephone equipment. Travel may be required domestically and internationally, up to 50% by plane and automobile.

Work Environment

The work environment is usually low to moderate in noise level, with minimal exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Compensation

Expected base pay range: $118,000 – $150,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
