DSV is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager in Austin, TX to lead CIP and process optimization across logistics operations, driving efficiency, reducing costs and increasing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Operational Excellence Manager, CIP & Process Optimization

Position Summary

The Operations Excellence Manager, CIP & Process Optimization, is responsible for identifying and improving the outcomes of logistics and operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/workshops to drive cultural change.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design, and create process documentation.
  • Carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, develop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
  • Design, install, and manage capital equipment related to process improvement.
  • Drive value stream mapping to define “As-Is” analysis and transition to future state.
  • Develop and conduct compliance assessments, program evaluations and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Five years of related management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Training in Lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen facilitation.
  • Strong leadership skills, experience working in a unionized environment, ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with change.
  • Previous exposure to a low volume high SKU environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence others in a fast‑paced environment, ability to work shifts as required.
Certificates & Licenses

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Aptitude for AutoCAD and Microsoft Access.
  • Knowledge of WMS functionality.
Mathematical Skills

Good mathematical skills.

Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal), Spanish a plus.
  • Interpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, writing).
  • Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization).
Other Skills
  • Public Presentation.
  • Deliver trainings and workshops.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma / Lean Certifications.
  • E-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutions.
  • Experience in warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, conveyor design, etc.).
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. Travel is required for this role domestically and internationally. Must be able to travel by plane and automobile (50%+).

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Compensation & Benefits

For this position, the expected base pay range is $118,000.00 – $150,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
