Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop (OBE) seeks an Operational Excellence Manager to drive our OpEx system across a manufacturing site and shape site-level performance. You will lead kaizen events, coach teams, and build the OpEx strategy with training materials.

You will also oversee quality initiatives, work with Front Line Leaders to implement improvements, and apply lean tools to maximize efficiency and reduce waste in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kaizen events and teaching operational excellence tools.
• Technical aptitude with manufacturing processes and logistics flows.
• Experience developing and implementing quality systems (PFMEA, control plans, standardized work, layered audits).
• Ability to influence and gain buy-in from teams through collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools (6S, Kanban, Ishikawa, A3, 5-Why, MTTR, MTBF, Poka-yoke, JIT, VSM).

Responsibilities

• Develop site OpEx strategy, initiatives, activities, coaching and training materials.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with Front Line Leaders to execute OpEx projects.

The Operational Excellence Manager is focused on implementing our Operational Excellence system to drive team site.

This role is perfect for an individual who is a leader, organized, and a self-starter. A vital member of the OpEx Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Implement and manage OBE Operational Excellence system to support and drive site team to achieve zero harm, improve quality, reduce waste, and maximize process and equipment performance.
• Develop site OpEx strategy, initiatives, activities, coaching and training material.
• Identify areas of process improvement opportunities and work with Front Line Leaders to execute specific OpEx production projects
• Oversee and Develop our Quality initiatives and metrics by working with operations to drive best practices that keep us on the forefront for quality in the industry.

What We Are Looking For

• Practical experience leading kaizen events (teaching, coaching and implementing operational excellence tools)
• High degree of technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics flows
• Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layered audits is required
• Ability to influence and create buy-in from teams through collaboration and development
• Strong understanding of Lean Tools including, but not limited to; 6S, Kanban, Ishikawa, A3, 5-Why, MTTR, MTBF, Poka-yoke, JIT, Value-stream mapping

Position Pay Range

$10,000 - $115,000 USD
