Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Florida seeks a Senior Operational Excellence Manager to lead our OpEx program and drive zero-harm, quality gains and waste reduction across the site. You will develop strategies, coach leaders, and deliver targeted improvements through Kaizen initiatives and standardized methods.

The role requires deep manufacturing and logistics expertise, strong leadership, and hands-on ability to implement PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layered audits to sustain

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading kaizen events and teaching operational excellence tools.
• Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics flows.
• Experience developing and implementing quality systems (PFMEA, control plans, standardized work, layered audits).
• Ability to influence and gain buy-in from cross-functional teams through collaboration.
• Background in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Industrial/Process/Manufacturing Engineering or related leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage OpEx system to support and drive site teams toward zero harm and improved quality.
• Develop site OpEx strategy, initiatives, activities, coaching and training material.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and work with frontline leaders to execute OpEx projects.
• Oversee quality initiatives and metrics to keep the site at the forefront for quality in the industry.

What You’ll Get to Do
The Sr Operational Excellence Manager is focused on implementing our Operational Excellence system to drive team site.
This role is perfect for an individual who is a leader, organized, and a self-starter. A vital member of the OpEx Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:

• Implement and manage OBE Operational Excellence system to support and drive site team to achieve zero harm, improve quality, reduce waste, and maximize process and equipment performance.
• Develop site OpEx strategy, initiatives, activities, coaching and training material.
• Identify areas of process improvement opportunities and work with Front Line Leaders to execute specific OpEx production projects
• Oversee and Develop our Quality initiatives and metrics by working with operations to drive best practices that keep us on the forefront for quality in the industry.
  

What We Are Looking For

• Practical experience leading kaizen events (teaching, coaching and implementing operational excellence tools)
• High degree of technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics flows
• Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layered audits is required
• Ability to influence and create buy-in from teams through collaboration and development
• Strong understanding of Lean Tools including, but not limited to; 6S, Kanban, Ishikawa, A3, 5-Why, MTTR, MTBF, Poka-yoke, JIT, Value-stream mapping
• Strongly preferred backgrounds:
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related operational leadership roles.
• Engineering degree
