Job summary

Br istol Myers Squibb Co. seeks an Associate Director of Operational Excellence at the Bothell Cell Therapy site to lead CI and OE strategies aligned with GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations, Business, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, continuous improvement, or related functions.
• 5+ years hands-on experience applying operational excellence principles.
• 3+ years of experience leading people or teams.
• Proficient in OE methodology, tools and manufacturing process improvement (lean leadership, visual management, kaizen, DMAIC, structured problem solving).
• Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives to achieve strategic results.
• Strong data-driven analysis and decision making skills.
• Working knowledge of GMP or similar quality-regulated environments.
• Experience with project management and change management principles.
• Strong relationship builder and stakeholder management.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Shingo or equivalent certifications.
• Experience building or sustaining a site operating system or daily management system.
• Familiarity with deviation, CAPA, and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site operational excellence strategy and roadmaps.
• Embed OE capability and visual management across the site.
• Align site KPIs with network strategy and objectives.
• Manage OE team’s book of work and reporting to leadership.
• Lead and coach the OE team, set goals and allocate resources.
• Use data to identify and implement OE initiatives.
• Partner with site leaders to deliver measurable improvements in KPIs.
• Advise senior leaders as the CI expert in deploying CI principles.
• Facilitate complex improvement workshops and Lean Six Sigma projects.
• Strengthen CI competencies through training and coaching.
• Represent the site in network and global OE forums.
