Job summary

Baxter International Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Operational Excellence to lead manufacturing excellence initiatives across Production Cells, Supply Chain, and Quality functions.

The role focuses on eliminating waste, improving productivity and driving quality improvements through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. The incumbent will coach and mentor teams, implement digital transformation, and ensure governance of strategic initiatives with a focus on measurable savings and ROI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience; pharmaceutical/biotech preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in lean/continuous improvement roles.
• Minimum 5 years in people leadership.
• Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with solid knowledge of lean, Kaizen, VSM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site's Operational Excellence strategy aligned with global priorities.
• Translate corporate strategy into operational initiatives driving measurable performance.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain and support functions.
• Build a sustainable CI culture through coaching, capability development and leadership engagement.
• Drive digital transformation to simplify processes and improve data visibility.
• Sponsor cross-functional transformation projects with measurable productivity, quality and financial impact.
