  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Ability to think critically to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide progress updates.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain feedback from critical stakeholders involved in the new product or the process improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects on time and on budget.
  • Develop and maintain web-based applications for processes to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Find and pitch improvement ideas, and then execute ideas if approved into a full project.

Production Engineering Manager

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is onsite in Mebane, North Carolina.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field at an accredited institution in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
