Job summary

ABB Inc. seeks an intern to gain hands-on experience across manufacturing projects in Albuquerque, NM. You will support process improvements, analyze production data, and help drive efficiency and cost reduction alongside the CI Manager.

You will work onsite, must reside within 50 miles, and manage commuting; the role emphasizes learning, growth, and practical applications of Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering concepts.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas and provide updates on progress.

This position reports to:

CI Manager

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is onsite in Albuquerque, NM.

Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.

You will be mainly accountable for:

The hourly rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications, graduation year and experience. This position is expected to pay between $20 - $34 per hour.
