Job summary

NEOMED's Office of Strategy and Transformation seeks an Operational Excellence Analyst to advance Lean Six Sigma initiatives in a collaborative academic environment.

The role focuses on instruction, mentorship, and curriculum content development across university and healthcare operations, with opportunities for professional growth in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent in project management.
  • Experience in operational excellence or quality improvement in healthcare or educational settings.
  • Commensurate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and mentorship in Lean Six Sigma curricula for university workforce learners and external healthcare professionals.
  • Lead curriculum content development for asynchronous and synchronous learning environments.
  • Contribute to Employee Empowered Excellence and other workforce development programs.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Planning, Executive Education, and university leadership teams.

Summary

Serves as a University expert in the application of the Lean SixSigma (LSS) process improvement methodology and promotingoperational excellence. In support of the Lean Six Sigmacertification program curricula, serves as an instructor, mentor,trainer, consultant and curriculum content developer at a levelcommensurate withLSScertification level. Collaborateswith colleagues in Strategic Planning, Executive Education, Officeof the President, University at large, and affiliated professionallearners/colleagues.

Principal Functional Responsibilities
Curriculum, Instruction, andMentoring:

Provide instruction and projectmentorship to University workforce learnersinLSSprogram. Provide instruction and projectmentorship to external health care professional learners in theExecutive Education Lean Six Sigma (LSS) curricula for health careand/or higher education operations. ContributetoLSScurricula content development and design for bothasynchronous and synchronous learning environments. Contribute tothe content development and delivery of the Employee EmpoweredExcellence program. Includes professional development training intopics such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management, andother areas of workforce development need.

Operational Excellence and ContinuousQuality Improvement (CQI):

Provide consultationfor University projects by implementing operational excellence,strategic planning,CQIprinciples and practices. Leadand/or mentor internal UniversityLSSprocess improvementprojects.

Communication and Administration:

Act as a department liaison andconsultant to university services/departments.

Other Duties:

Performother duties as assigned.
