Daikin Applied is seeking an Operations Excellence Manager to lead continuous improvement initiatives across the Americas. Hybrid role based in Plymouth, MN, with a focus on Kaizen training, lean methodology, and KPI-driven optimization.

The role develops and sustains employee technical development programs, coaches teams in problem solving, and drives cost reduction and productivity gains through standardized improvements.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
• Familiar with Kaizen improvement processes.
• 2 years of facilitation experience.
• Strong cross-functional partnerships and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads continuous improvement training programs using Kaizen, quality, problem solving, and team facilitation techniques across Sales, Service and Solutions.
• Create vision and strategy to drive CIP, productivity gains, and lean best practices across the unit.
• Coordinate implementation of employee technical skills development programs with ongoing management oversight.
• Provide coaching and SME on Kaizen and Lean methods; collaborate to improve KPIs.
• Lead annual integrated planning (DAA WAY), scorecard, and enterprise portfolios for the unit.
• Support leadership in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Establish a process for communicating continuous improvement initiatives; audit for consistency.
• Maintain records of all improvement activities and participants.

Provides management direction and guidance in the development, implementation, and sustainment of continuous improvement and skills development activities and programs for Daikin Applied. Leads and facilitates process improvements through workshops, Kaizen and scorecard meetings. What you will do:

• Develops and leads continuous improvement training programs related to Kaizen, quality, problem solving, and team facilitation techniques and tools across Sales, Service and Solutions business unit
• Create the vision and strategy that drives continuous improvement in terms of cost reduction (CIP), productivity gains, and lean best practices across the business unit to improve Quality and On-Time Delivery
• Develops and coordinates the implementation of employee technical skills development programs and provides ongoing management oversight and support of these programs
• Provides coaching experience and subject matter expertise to others working with Kaizen and other Lean methodologies. Collaborates with all operations and support functions to improve their key performance indicators (KPI)
• Acts as advanced facilitator for Kaizen activities, utilizing Lean methods, Value Stream Maps, SIPOC, RACI and other as needed tools to improve process maturity
• Lead annual integrated planning (DAA WAY), scorecard and enterprise portfolio activities for the business unit
• Provide leadership support in the areas of continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Establish and implement a process for standard communication of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization and perform periodic audits to ensure the process is consistent
• Maintains records of all improvement activities and participants

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Operations, and any technical related field
• Familiar with Kaizen improvement processes
• 2 years facilitation experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000- $153,300 + 10% bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
