Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. Under RN supervision, you will perform non-nursing tasks in the surgical unit, prepare beds and gurneys, and ensure linen, supplies, and equipment are ready for cases.

You will assist with specimen delivery, room turnover, and patient transport, contributing to a safe and efficient OR environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and certification

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and understands English.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to anticipate changes and adapt to the environment.
• Maintains physical stamina to push/pull heavy equipment.
• Proficient in PPE stock management and sterile supplies.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen and warmers, ensuring supplies meet department policy.
• Record temperature logs and maintain accuracy.
• Prepare gurneys and beds for operating rooms.
• Organize equipment room and deliver specimens to lab promptly.
• Assist with OR turnover and intra-operative positioning as needed.
• Safely transport patients to and from the OR and assist with case carts.
