MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks an Operating Room Technician to support the surgical team under perioperative leadership. You will prepare, set up, and assist in various procedures while maintaining sterile environment and patient-centered care.

The role requires 18+ months of acute care perioperative experience, High School Diploma, and BLS certification; CST preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates excellent customer service in all communications.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with peers, management and physicians.
• Communicates information to Circulating Nurse and/or OR Clinical Supervisor promptly.
• Prioritizes responsibilities and multi-tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Works under pressure and remains calm in busy or stressful situations.
• Follows hospital policies and procedures.
• Assembles supplies/equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintains sterility of the field and equipment throughout procedures.
• Decontaminates, cleans, and sterilizes instruments as needed.
• Works with circulating nurse to ensure accurate sponge, needle and instrument counts and specimen identification.
• Verifies equipment functions before procedures.
• Contributes to patient/family centered care per the Watson Model of Care.
