Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a part-time Night Shift Operating Room Technician for Labor and Delivery at the Bronxville location. The role involves acting as scrub person, circulator, and supporting the surgical team across a range of procedures.

This position requires ensuring readiness of supplies and maintaining OR equipment throughout night shifts. Preferred candidates have prior OR/Surgical Tech experience and possess certification as a Surgical Technologist; high school diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by a recognized body.
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist/Operating Room Technician program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub person and circulator in the OR.
• Assist in care, prep and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Support surgical team during nighttime procedures and cases.

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a part time, night shift position covering the hours of 11:00pm – 11:00am at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital located in Bronxville; right across from the Metro North Station.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technlogist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) - Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as an O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
• High school diploma or GED
