Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Must become a Certified Surgical Technologist within 6 months of hire.
• Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Surgical Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing OR rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
• Drapes patients and assists the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintains a safe and orderly environment and follows aseptic technique.
• Collaborates with the care team to plan patient care and turnover between cases.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the nursing staff.
