Lifespan is seeking an OR technician to assist the surgical team in patient care and operating room activities at The Miriam Hospital. The role involves various responsibilities such as positioning patients, maintaining a clean operating room, and providing assistance with orthopedic procedures.

The ideal candidate should be a high school graduate or equivalent, with patient care experience preferred. This position requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to care for patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Must understand aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns.
• Six months of patient care experience in an acute care or operating room environment is preferred.
• Adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.

Responsabilités

• Assist perioperative nurse, anesthesiologist, and surgeons with patient care.
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room safely.
• Assist in orthopedic traction setup and skin preparations.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the operating room.
• Ensure procurement of supplies for the operating room.
