Job summary

Newport Hospital & Health Services in Newport, WA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prepare the operating room, and ensure instrument sterilization and asepsis. Willingness to handle call and work under pressure is required.

Minimum high school diploma and graduation from a Surgical Technology program with CST/NBSTSA or equivalent certification are required; BCLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
• Willingness to adapt procedures for neonate to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Prepares room with instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each procedure.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment per hospital policies.
• Performs decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
